St. Ursula’s is a care home with an emphasis on one to one personal care of our Residents in a social setting. We occasionally seek qualified care staff for a variety of clinical and non-clinical roles within our team and if you’re looking for a career in care of the elderly, we would love to hear from you. We welcome very friendly, helpful and positive team members who have a genuine interest in caring for older people. We recognise the expertise, ethos and value of each member of our team and we encourage each staff member to have a voice in the operation and improvement of our nursing home and we encourage the continuous professional development of our staff.
We verify references and require Garda checks before inviting new employees to join our care team. Records of recruitment, qualifications, induction, supervision and training for all staff employed within the home are kept and are available for inspection by HIQA.
If you’re a school pupil or college student, we may be able to offer you a short term period of work experience to allow you to see and understand what’s involved in a career of caring for older people with different abilities.
